Eric Metcalf
|
 Metcalf is the Small Groups Champion for Community Christian Church
(CCC). He provides leadership for the Small Group Directors at each of
its eight locations in the Chicago area. He has overseen the launch of
three locations and through his leadership almost 2,000 people are
connected in a small group. In addition Eric is the Naperville Campus
Small Groups Director where he oversees 100+ small groups (Men's,
Women's, Neighborhood, Young Adult, Singles, and Support and Recovery).
In his capacity as Small Group Champion, Eric provides small group
coaching and resources to churches who are part of the NewThing
(www.newthing.org), which is COMMUNITY's mission to be catalyst for a
movement of reproducing churches. Eric works with each Affiliate
Church's Small Groups Director by helping influence the areas of
philosophy, personnel and programming. If you're looking for a

Eric has been married for 10 years to his beautiful wife, Erin. They

Bringing Christian Community into Subcultures

In my mind’s eye I can see it. I can see a life that is seamlessly filled with the love of Christ. I can see myself living out my hobbies, mowing my yard, and enjoying the relationships around me. It is a vision I have had for my life and for others for a very long time. It is what I call a life-integrated ministry that engages popular culture while sharing the Gospel. What and where are these communities for us to engage? They are all around us: bicycle clubs, LAN parties, Texas Hold’em parties, sports leagues, work-out gyms, book reading clubs - subculture after subculture after subculture.
