Danny has 100+ articles published in 29 church leadership magazines. His book, "Built By The Owner's Design" will be published January 3rd, 2003 by CSS Publishing out of Lima, Ohio. Danny's writings deal with church growth, leadership, music, and family issues.

Danny recently celebrated his 25 wedding anniversary to Beverly Gay Allen Von Kanel. He has two sons, Allen & Brad, and two grandchildren, Kaylie Danielle and Blake.

Many leaders struggle with appropriate ways to handle fault-finding. Some are able to turn a simple snide remark into a skirmish, a battle, and then all out war. Peace eludes them. The body of Christ wrenches in pain over the resulting turmoil.

The air reverberated with emotion at the conclusion of our loss recovery class. We knew lives had changed and the healing process had begun. However, other factors lay hidden that impacted our assessment. These unseen aspects in loss recovery differ from other small groups in three ways: increased confidentiality, emotional vulnerability, and facilitator transparency. The way these groups assess their effectiveness is also different.
