Brian was born and raised in Southern California. He came to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord while a teenager. After graduating from California State University at Northridge, he spent four years as a supervisor in the field of recreation before twelve years of employment in a small custom manufacturing company.
During those years, he was heavily involved in leading and teaching the singlesı, menıs, and adult Sunday School ministries of his home church. In addition, he was able to complete the Masters of Sacred Ministry (MSM) program at Multnomah Bible College in Oregon. Later, he attended the Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) program at Talbot Theological Seminary in Southern California.
Brian entered vocational ministry in 1992 as Pastor of Adult Ministries. He married Diane one year later. For eight years, his major ministry responsibility was the direction and expansion of the churchıs small group ministry. He, also, was responsible for the menıs, singlesı, recovery, and several other ministry areas, in a church that grew from 600 to over 2000 in a five-year period.
Currently, Brian is the Pastor of Small Group Ministries at Central Peninsula Church in Foster City, California. He has spoken at retreats and taught before a variety of age and life stage audiences. He believes small groups are the vehicle God has given His people to develop the churchıs spiritual maturity, family relationships, and neighborhood outreach.
Brian knows the benefits and challenges of both volunteer and vocational ministry. Since God has not blessed Brian and Diane with a child, they are able to take advantage of unique opportunities to serve their Lord individually and as a couple.

Remember the first time you rode your bike "solo," without training wheels or the steadying hand of a parent? What excitement! Its the same feeling when you begin a new ministry.

Evolving Community Groups
|
The origins of Central Peninsula Church trace back to 1965 when six Palo Alto families commuting to Peninsula Bible Church desired to have a ministry closer to home. They were encouraged by Ray Stedman and the church leadership to meet together as a home Bible study on Sunday nights. With assistance from PBCs staff, the group grew and in 1967 called a pastor and began holding Sunday morning services.

Telling Stories To Build Community
|
"The church must not become a collection of marbles ricocheting off each another, but rather grapes that when pressed together become wine." That was the exhortation from Dr. Joe Aldrich to his students at Multnomah Bible College years ago. However, that sense of oneness, of becoming wine, often eludes us.

Biblical Principles for Pastoral Care in Small Groups
|
Sarah was facing her biggest nightmare. She had resisted leading a small group for years because she lacked confidence in her ability to give wise counsel to the problems of others. Her pastor had finally convinced her that she did not need to worry. “It rarely happens”, he told her. She has been an excellent leader, and her group has grown closer. Lately, however, group members have become more open and are turning to her to solve their problems.
