Mike Shepherd
|
Mike is a 17-year veteran of the church who serves as a consultant to churches in the area of small groups, Sunday school, leadership development, team building, and the principles of authentic community. Mike is a published author.
He has a Bachelor’s and Masters in Christian Education and will be completing a PhD in Christian Education soon. The churches he served were in Tennessee, Texas, and Florida. His most recent pastorate was at Flamingo Road Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He is currently co-leading a new church plant in Southwest Metro Denver.
For two years he led Serendipity Publishers as the National Director of Small Group Development. This involved developing effective resources and providing small group training for the local church. He was the Creator, Senior Editor, and Project Manager for the series Small Group Plus, a curriculum designed to help adult Sunday school groups transition to a relational small group approach.
He and his wife, Deborah have 3 children and reside in Littleton, CO. He enjoys reading, golfing, camping, skiing and spending time with his wife and children.

One of the challenges of leading a Bible study is determining what needs to be taught from the passage of Scripture that has been chosen. Many pastor’s sermons involve the use of two to three verses.
