Overview
"The New Testament writers show great confidence that the world is being transformed through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ," says David P. Gushee. "But they show no confidence whatsoever that the powers and principalities of this world serve as the agents of that global transformation." Gushee reminds us that redemption is God's work, and he will accomplish it in his time. The church is intimately involved in this process through the faithful pursuit of its mission and the daily practice of God's will.
How might Christians best impact the culture in which we live? What does Scripture say about a Christian's role in politics? How might we best produce moral change in our country? This study will discuss the relationship of Christians and politics.
