Color-Coded Quirks

Spark a light-hearted discussion on your group members' funny habits.

Purpose: A fun way to help group members share a variety of humorous quirks and habits.

Activity: Fill a bowl with a few different types of multi-colored candies—Skittles and M&Ms would be a good example. Then ask your group members to pick out three pieces of candy from the bowl, each one a different color.

Once all of the group members have their candy, reveal the following questions (you may want to prepare a chart of some kind to display them). Each color represents an item they will share with the group about themselves.

  • Red. What song do you sing when no one is listening?
  • Green. How do you squeeze your toothpaste?
  • Yellow. What is your secret talent?
  • Blue. How do you eat at Oreo?
  • Orange. Are you a stomach, back, or side sleeper?
  • Brown. How would you describe your handwriting?

Follow-Up Questions:

  • How can learning the small details about others benefit your relationship?
  • How can learning the small details about God benefit your relationship with him?
